The jury is still out on the kink. Just when I think things might be flickering back to life, work crashes the party in a major way, and bam, there goes the kink. Also hearing my neighbour sneeze the other day was enough to scare me vanilla for many a week.
So, while I'm still undecided, I thought I'd provide you with some other form of porn. Food porn.
If you have a sweet tooth (and chocolatey), this is the most evilly wonderful dish in the world.
However, it is rather, um, English, so some translations first of all:
1) Golden Syrup is rather English. I believe that light corn syrup may be substituted in countries without good old Tate and Lyle Golden.
2) Maltesers. If you are in the US, you don't have Maltesers. I feel for you. Maltesers are wonderful. You can try this recipe with Whoopers or Mighty Malts, but having tried them, quite frankly, I wouldn't bother. Go to Canada or the UK. Stock up on Maltesers. I promise you won't regret it!
So, here we go:
Malteser Tray Bake
100g Margarine
6 tablespoons of Golden Syrup (do NOT overdo the syrup)
250g Milk Chocolate
200g Ginger Nut Biscuits (or something milder like Rich Tea or Digestives)
200g Maltesers
Melt the chocolate, margarine and syrup together.
Take off the heat
Add in the biscuits and Maltesers
Spread in a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper
Chill
Cut into squares
Eat. Possibly all by yourself!

Sounds like an excellent dessert for after the delicious salmon we had this evening - many thanks :-)
Oh, bloody hell Eliane! Now I feel the need to go to Asda to get all the ingredients and start baking. And since it's 10 o'clock at night I can't do that. Awful person!
(Also, they don't have Maltesers in the States?! How do they survive over there?)
That's the sole reason we don't have enough energy to put extra u's in everywhere, Irelynn. It's because of Maltesers.
What a truly orgasmic post!
Chocolate, ginger nuts and maltesers all my favourites now this one I must try.
Thanks.
Love,
Ronnie

Hello Eliane
I was brought up on Golden Syrup (a looong time ago!) but it's only recently I found out that Tate (of Tate & Lyle) founded the Tate Gallery .
