A Moment Of Silence

Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we should have a moment of silence for EmmaJane's bottom. The poor girl very stupidly decided to get her readers to weigh in on how many strokes she should get with each of the new implements she had borrowed. For every comment made on the blog she would get one stroke with each of the implements, i.e. six strokes in total as there are six implements. Her dear readers of course stepped up to the plate to help her out. Now EmmaJane had not been quite specific enough in her post. She did not state there were any rules whereby multiple comments would not get counted so some people thought it might be funny to comment several times each. Silly EmmaJane. At time of writing (10pm UK time on Friday night) she has 37 comments. Even if you take her own two comments out of there it leaves 35. 35 multiplied by 6, boys and girls, equals 210!!
Now the previous day I had kindly suggested to her that maybe she went for a round dozen with each, and then ranked them in order, she have 6 with her least favourite, 12 with the next, etc, up to 36 with her favourite of the bunch. That would have been "only" 198 in total, but she would have had to suffer much less with the nastiest ones. I thought it was a rather kind and fair suggestion, but oh no, she had to go off and do things her own way. Well, quite frankly she deserves all that's coming to her ;-) Even so, a moment of silence may be in order as a show of sympathy for what her bottom is going to be enduring this weekend.

On a totally different note, I'd like to point you in the direction of an interesting post by Master Retep in response to my question yesterday about what tops feel about punishment. Thank you for your thoughts!

Thank you for the reference and the link. The question you raised actually touched on one of the main reasons I started the blog. I wanted to explore my own feelings as a "thoughtful top", if I may be allowed a little arrogance, I am a top after all. So the blog will never rival some others for volume and frequency but I will try to keep it fairly focussed on that very question that you asked.

BTW, I'm afraid I have brought poor Emma through 7 squared to a nice round 50. I mean, we have to come out day and night support the home team, even if it means we don't get much sleep.

Poor Emma. Such a dear, sweet, undeserving girl. *weeps*

However, Eliane, something tells me you won't escape this whole ordeal unscathed.... mwahahahaha!!!!

Graham, what on earth do you mean?! What involvement do I have in this? I tried to help her out, she chose to ignore my advice... serves her right quite frankly ;-)
She's now on 300, bless.

Can I just say (smugly) that I am kind and delibrately did not comment on poor EJ's post. Because I don't like dropping other people in it ;)

Rather her than me!

Jessica, I take your point, but when they ask to be dropped in it?! Come on, it's a chance not to be missed! Though in all fairness, maybe I didn't have to comment quite as often as I did.

I'm just saying, I think EJ will have her revenge on you all... (not on me though, I'm too far away, ha!)

Holy cow, that poor girl! I actually hadn't commented on her post, as I figured it wasn't the smartest thing she could do that people would start piling on!

Nothing brings the lurkers out like the prospect of you catching it!

About that moment of silence ...

Are you sure it's just a "moment?"

I don't do silence very well ...
just ask my wife.

@Eliane, can't wait until you come to Dublin missy!!!!!!!!!!!!

But thanks for the moment of silence. It's exactly what I need right now, unfortunately I can't get the ringing of implements meeting my bottom out of my ears!
