Consipiring Against Me

I've decided to try and get a grip on my constant lateness for work. And even succeeded on the first day of trying - I was 15 minutes early! I was seriously impressed with myself.

The trouble is, that people are conspiring against me. More and more people I know are starting blogs, and good blogs at that. Which means, obviously, that they have to be read. Which I often do first thing in the morning. Which makes me late for work. I hesitate to give them any publicity whatsoever, given that they all seem to be determined to conspire against me and get me into trouble (I have no free will in this situation, of course, and *must* read what they write). However, as I'm a nice person, I will rise above this provocation and suggest most firmly that you go and check out, in no particular order: Graham, Rebecca, Faye, Emma, Caroline, Jessica and Casey.

Just don't blame me if your spare time disappears in a puff of smoke, and you are late for everything, Blame them. In fact, quite frankly, I think the lot of them should be spanked.

Well since I discovered google reader i can waste time at work reading all of the above on my phone. And those of you that have your comment boxes as separate pages, such as this one means I can comment too :)

I agree with you completely! I think these and many other I could name should be spanked for being so hard on you!!

How can they expect you to get to work on time with all this good material out there! I have the same problem but since I teach being late is not an option - boy I love my summmers. I can relax and read it all!!!

Hugs,
PK

Eliane, you are as bad as the others. It's a good thing I don't have to watch a clock, still you are worth it, as are the others.
Warm hugs,
Paul.

Aww, sorry Eliane!

If it makes you feel any better, I *was* spanked lots over the weekend. And tawsed. And caned. And...er... pandybatted (if that's even a word!).

You could just try getting up earlier ;-).

Yes, just get up a little bit earlier. Now personally, I never actually sleep, which is why I have time to comment. Only joking. I guess if I commented more and ate less, I'd be thin!

I think you're doing it the wrong way round. Stay up late and do all your reading then. Of course that just means you'll be late to work anyway but you're not constricted by thinking of having to get to work ;)

I'm with EmmaJane - getting up early to read things is masochistic in yourself - read in the evening (though you'll still be late if you oversleep - damn these boss people who make us get out of bed!)

Try going back to uni! You'll have a four month long summer holiday and no lectures before 10 am. It's blog-reading heaven.

Thanks for the links by the way, I shall go check them out. Tomorrow, that is. It's late and I have to get up early for my nurse's appointment because apparently it's normal in this strange country to have to have a medical exam when registering with a new GP. And nothing is even wrong with me. Appalling...
